There was a word of the Lord that came to Isaiah the son of Amoz, concerning Judah and Jerusalem. It was this:
"It will come to pass in the last days ..."
You do know that the last days began no later than the day God brought the feast of Pentecost to fullness, right? The day he harvested the firstfruits of the apostles, their companions, and the 3000 Jews that bowed their knee to the Messiah, the Son of God (Ps. 2).
"the mountain of the Lord and the house of God shall be visible on the tops of the mountains and exalted above the hills. All the Gentiles shall come to it."
To where are all the Gentiles coming? What house of God is visible above the tops of the mountains and exalted above the hills? Which house of God has sent a clarion call to all the nations of the world, and is now sending emmisaries into the tiniest tribes, learning their languages, and teaching them the ways of God and of his Son, the eternal King?
"Many Gentiles shall travel and say, 'Come and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will proclaim his way to us, and we shall walk in it.'"
Does the God of Jacob dwell in a house or a temple made with hands? What house can we make for him? Instead, the Son of God, the Word through whom all things were created, is forming for God a house, majestic in the heavens. Our name can be written in it; we can be his ambassadors. We are running to that house, he is proclaiming his way to us, and we are going to walk only in that way.
"For the Law of the Lord shall go forth from Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem."
Are you aware that there is a law from Jesus our King? When the priesthood is changed, says Hebrews, there is a change of Law. We have a new Priest and he has given a new Law, one that is not written on tablets of stone, but on the fleshly tablets of our hearts. It causes all of us to know him, from the least to the greatest.
"He shall judge between the Gentiles and rebuke many people. They shall beat their swords into plows and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore."
In the first few centuries of the church, this was a central passage to prove that Jesus was the Messiah. Where can you find the nations (the Gentiles) come together without war, not learning war with their foreign neighbors, but learning to love so much that they share the same fire and none are left in need? Where is this other than in the church, the Israel of God? (e.g. Justin. First Apology. ch. XXXIX).
"Oh now, house of Jacob, come and let us walk in the light of the Lord, for he forsook his people, the house of Israel, for as from the beginning, their land is filled with divinations—like the land of the foreigners."
One day, our merciful God and Father will gather up the old Israel, once the fullness of the Gentiles has come in, and thus all Israel will be saved. Until then, he has forsaken that people, who stoned the prophets and then killed the Son. (It's Jesus who said this: Matt. 21:43. Don't be offended at it like the Pharisees were.)
He has a plan, and that plan is for the Gentiles to be grafted into the tree. Do you want to hurry the promised day, when all Israel will be saved? Then be grafted into the tree from which the original branches were broken off. God is using the mercy shown to you to provoke them to jealousy.
Inherit the promises! Run to the God of Israel and to the House that is made without hands that is above the mountains and shines to the ends of the world. Come and learn his ways.
